review 1: Original Review at Alexandria's Book BlogI am really torn with this book. I know that I am definitely more team Kace than team Jett. Just read the following excerpt:Kace stood in the middle of the shower, naked and totally lost in the water dripping down his body. His hands were running through his hair, showing off his well-defined muscles as well as the tattoo that was still a mystery to me. It was along his rib cage but was in such loopy cursive that I had a really hard time reading it. His muscles flexed as he moved with the water and droplets ran off his skin like the sexiest damn rain I've ever seen. Can I just say I am seriously hoping that Kace gets his own book. I need more Kace. I just feel like Jett has been so wishy washy and I am really hoping that he will ... moreeventually redeem himself after all of this drama. He definitely has started to but he has a long way to go in my book.I put this picture in a green frame because I want you to have faith that everything is going to work out.I think my all time favorite quote of the whole book though was:Goldie and I talked about meanings of names one day and she introduced me to Urban Dictionary that has a meaning for every name. Meghan came up as a skanky ass ho which pleased Goldie because apparently there was a Meghan at Kitten's Castle that fit the description perfectly and so did this girl.Any author that can call themselves a skanky ass ho in their own book is kind of awesome in my book. I thought that that was pretty hilarious. With all of that aside I definitely felt like this was an in between book in a trilogy which is what it is. It started up where the previous book left off and ended on a cliffhanger. I am really looking forward to book three but this was definitely my least favorite book so far.Disclosure: This e-book was provided to Alexandria's Book Blog free of charge for the sole purpose of an honest review. All thoughts, comments and ratings are my own.
review 2: First off, if you haven't read Becoming a Jett Girl. stop reading now and go one click it immediately. You do not want to miss this addicting series. I read both books in less than 48 hours. It was a great distraction during a family emergency where I spent a lot of time waiting. Jett and Goldie are perfect for each other. Goldie is very patient, enough to allow Jett time to deal with his demons, revealing in each little piece of himself that he gives her. He does test that patience several times though. Jett's business dealings are putting Goldie in danger. He desperately wants to protect her. His vulnerability made me empathize with him in a way I haven't connected with a character in a while. I think I see the kind of man he can be if he let his walls down. The ending is one of those you hate to love. I didn't even notice I was getting close to the end of the book when all of a sudden, the plot twist hit me and the book ended. I will be waiting rather impatiently for the next one to be released. I can't wait to get my hands on it to see how all of this plays out. Jett and Lo (Goldie's nickname) deserve their HEA. Jett's father and Rex need to get theirs. less
