review 1: There were three short stories in this Little book and they were all I needed at the time. It’s amazing but in barely 4-6 pages you get to know this relatable, friend-material characters that I would have liked to know better. I really liked that although it was a romance book, not all stories had “happy endings” or “endings” at all, it felt natural because in real life it’s like that, you don’t always get closure, and many stories have really open endings. It was a light, quick read that I would totally recommend to anyone looking for some best-friend love, witty lines and great characters.
review 2: Probably 3.5. Fun, quick, feel-good read! Sweet little YA romance stories; however, practically NO kissing and largely too-abrupt endings for me.
... more But, they give you a good, happy feeling. I especially liked the first story. One thing: Why does this author always use the names Riley and Ava in her stories? Makes me think the same people are falling in love over and over again with different people--not exactly a “happily ever after” (or even “happy for the moment”) scenario… (When I read FALL FOR ME after KISSING, I kept having this niggling feeling that I’d read something about these same people before and turns out it was in one of the KISSING stories! The same, only NOT the same…?)I do like this author’s writing, though. She knows how to build up the romantic tension and anticipation--also how to write realistic sounding/feeling teens! less
