review 1: Wow, just wow! I fell in love with Zachary! So damaged and scarred by his past, he only knows rejection. Living alone after a horrible event forever changed his life, he is very doubtful of people's true intentions. So he stays to himself. Megan has been done wrong. Everything she once believed in was a lie, so she leaves Boston to take time to try and get her life back together. When she first sees Zachary, she fells a pull to him but gets a taste of his rudeness. It doesn't stop her from seeking him out though. Can Zachary open his heart to feelings he has never had before and can Megan make him see the man his is beneath the scars? Highly recommend! This one had me feeling the emotions of the characters. Sometimes I was angry and others happy, and yet there was still th... moree sadness where my tears were as real as the characters. It's always great when a book can make you feel, make it seem like you know the characters you are reading about. I look forward to more work by Melanie Moreland.
review 2: I am so happy and honored to have read an ARC of this book and I have to tell you that Melanie Moreland has outdone herself. Always a fan of her work, (loved Into the Storm) this book, however has propelled her into a whole different category. The character development, the back stories, the pain, the anger, the love, the healing and two of the sweetest dogs, makes this story a must read! I plan to do so again and again. It's just that good! less
