review 1: As a huge Little House on the Prairie fan, I found this book boring. Sure, it had a few interesting tid-bits of interesting info. Otherwise, it was just re-writing of scenes from the show with attempts at humor in between them. I mean, most of the people who are going to be reading this book are big fans of LHOTP. Most of us have seen the episodes. We don't need an author to re-hash them for us. I mean, let's admit it:most of us read this book for the cool and juicy behind-the-scenes details of the LH set we were hoping we'd get. And this book did not deliver at all.She also came off as a little bit bitter when talking about the show and the people who worked on it. I understand she might not have gotten along with certain actors or agreed with Michael Landon all of the ti... moreme. But really, she is pretty much known for just this show, and a lot of the things she said about certain people and experiences came off as bitter and...unforgiving, almost. Read it if you want re-hashings of episodes with a few interesting things thrown in there.
review 2: Very disappointed with the book. When I read autobiographies/biographies I expect to read lots of details about their personal life. Instead "The Way I See It: A Look Back At My Life On Little House" by Melissa Anderson had very little personal detail, but lots of detail about each episode of "Little House on the Prairie" she starred in. The majority of the book read as if Melissa reread her old show scripts, wrote a long detailed summary for each script she read, then wrote a very small personal tidbit about her past memory of each episode. The small tidbits were usually about the episode subject matter, location, or people associated with the episode. less

As a 'Little House' fan, this was nice to read, but it really seemed that Melissa held a lot back.
