review 1: I ended up skimming some of the book because some parts were slightly repetitive and boring, and some of the Hell House parts actually creeped me out too much to read them thoroughly. I was quite surprised when in the acknowledgements the author mentioned that Hell Houses are real and the book was based on her observations of a real one. How creepy!!! The book was kind of predictable but overall pretty enjoyable. I did like "Unbreak my Heart" a lot more though.
review 2: ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I loved reading every page of this book! I don't know how people do it sometimes! This may contain some spoilers but it is very good! So this is about a girl names Lacey Anne Byer, and she lives (and has always lived) in West River. She is about to be a part of her church's
... moreHell House, and man is she excited! She has also just gotten her drivers license so she is ready to drive around town! But a long lost friend (and a cute one at that) comes back to town and Lacey is doing everything to spend time with him, even if that means sneaking behind her parents back to do so. This book is a very nice coming-of-age book for teenagers and Melissa Walker really did this book justice. Just because you grew up on something doesn't mean that it is always the right thing to do. I actually learned a thing or two reading this book, so I really think this is worthwhile! less

A good Christian story if that's what you're into in. A little high on the cheese factor for me...

It was way to religious for me but I kept reading because I wanted to know what Lacey would do!!!!
