review 1: The story leaves so many holes for me... I mean she falls in love with a character you barely see and leaves the one the writer makes sure you fall for! The doctor, Dean appears all the time, is sweet, caring and super hot. Then Gus appears what? Three times to save the plants and a couple more for therapy and bam! He's the man. They don't even have a real talk. Her family story is so confusing, would have great if the author gave us more or nothing at all. It had more potencial than what we read. Her friend was great but then I was off by the way her friend keep sending creepers to her or how she just knew stuff. Uhm there are some things not even a best friend knows like that! So yeah she end it so fast and I gelt she really made a bad choice with th... moree guy
review 2: I hate giving low ratings for books. As an author, I know how much it sucks to read them. However, there are two reasons my rating is so low... One is that there were numerous typos and grammar issues, mispellings that could easily have been fixed with a find and 'replace all', and words that were used so wrong that it jarred me constantly from the story. But the story itself was entertaining enough that I was able to sigh and move on, because I wanted to know what happened, was drawn to the inevitable end, where love won the day and the girl gets the right guy. Only the right guy didn't get got, IMHO, and the wrong guy, who started out sweet and nice and a little bit shy turned into an uber-alpha and a total ass at the end, which REALLY threw me for a loop. Ever been so pissed off at the end of a book that you wanted to throw it across the room? Well, these days, with so much digital, I couldn't do that. So I had to satisfy myself with punching my hapless pillow, grumbling into my blankets, and going to sleep. I woke up, still pissed off. Your mileage may vary. Like I said... this was a very entertaining book, right up till the end, for me. Sorry to Mercy Walker, and I WILL be reading more of her stuff because I really liked the main part of the book. But one, you truly need an editor, and two... ARGH!!!! REALLY?????? less
