review 1: I don't think I've ever cried this intensely over a book. Reading about Ben and Cathy and the heartbreak they had to endure managed to draw real emotions out of me. The ones I feel when I think my bf and I are gonna break up or when a real life sad situation happens. It honestly should be labelled as a talent, when an author is able to write stories about people in a way that is so relatable you feel the actual emotions( or some of it) that you would feel if that were to happen to you. Scratch that, it's not a talent, it's a superpower. I feel traumatized by this whole experience. Im unsure of what to do with myself now. How can I go out and be a happy, normal, functional member of society after experiencing a heartache that has nothing to do with me or any real human bein... moreg? I need therapy. Just kidding. I think im kidding....it was an amazing book. It only has one flaw ... I'm happy that Cathy is with Ben, but what's going to happen to Arsen? Argh. I'm so heartbroken right now for Arsen. How could I have feel so much for all three of them? At least let me hate one of them..... gaaah!!!! I'm gonna go listen to depressing music now to help me go through this fictional phase that my mind, body and emotions have refused to acknowledge as not one of my own experiences.
review 2: I love this story! I love how its so honest about such a delicate topic, infidelity. We are all humans,(I think)and reading about an affair immediately cause us to be cruel and judgmental, but getting the whole picture and living Catherine's experiences, both with her husband, Ben as her interaction later on with Arsen, makes one get involved in that heartbreaking love triangle and want to kick and scream because its so complicated, its so hard, its so freaking HEARTBREAKING!!!! I love Ben and I love Arsen. I know that for a good marriage, there's gotta be a lot more involved than love to make it work and that's what this book tells us. This book is without a doubt one of my favorites. less
