review 1: I re-read this thing just yesterday and had to come back to upgrade it to 4 stars.I just love, love, love this book so much. It's fluffy and sweet without being sickening and pink and glittery. It has a sense of humor so brilliant it made me laugh out loud. I love the guys so much I want to minimize them and keep them in my pocket and put them on my desk and stare at them and make dreamy eyes at them in my free time.Shit, that sounded creepy, didn't it?Well, I FEEL like gushing, even though my New Year Resolution was to remain a stone-faced stick in the mud (Sorry NYR, I guess I've failed you again just six days into the year). This book makes me want to break out the squeals and just roll around screaming I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU ALL KEEP TALKING PLEASE DON'T EVER ENDBut yea... moreh, I should probably actually review this book and stuff. So here's the deal: It's as light as toast for breakfast. Not much conflict and betrayal and pain and death and misunderstanding here; just a light romance featuring two lovable MCs. The secondary characters are funny too, specifically Brian's old lady neighbour... Definitely someone I would want around the block. Some typos (you're --> your) that may detract the overall reading experience, but nothing so bad that you have to stop and cry for five minutes before you can continue. What else can I say? I loved it! Don't let the cringe-worthy title and the cover put you off. I think it's the best book Mia Watts' written, and I'm still saying that even after polishing 85% of her MM books off. Only Boys in Blue #1 and #2 even come close to touching the awesome of this one. And now I'm going to end this review by indulging my inner squealing fan and say READ IT READ IT READ IT READ IT.
review 2: This is one of those books that at 60 pages reads much longer. Ms. Watts is very good at giving you a lot of information in a short time and bringing her character's to life in a very real way. It didn't take me long to fall in love with Brian and Josh, their courtship was funny and hot and brought a smile to my face as I was reading it. The story comes together quickly but doesn't feel rushed. Every time Brian came up with a different plan to get Josh’s attention I could just picture all the ways it could go wrong. And while it could have been mistaken as stalkerish I just thought it was endearing. Brian's neighbor, Mrs. Jackson was a great addition to the storyline and I couldn't help but laugh at everything she said. So if you are looking for a quick, funny and hot read then wrap your hand around The Policeman’s Balls! I give it 5 chocolate dipped strawberries! less
