review 1: This book was frightening, not just because of the food manipulations employed under the direction of big (tobacco) business, but also because of the economics involved. It took me a while to work my way through this one as the writing while well done was not riveting. This book gives lots of food for thought for those interested in the economics of food pitted against the health costs of processed foods.
