review 1: Why hasn't a publisher in the US or UK snapped up publishing rights to Michelle Holman's books? I loved this book, and it's her debut book. I loved it as much as her second release "Divine" and I'm waiting until her other two releases are more affordable before I pounce on them. Lisa Jackson is a 27 year old elementary school teacher who is driving home from a doctor's appointment after hearing devastating news, when she's involved in an accident. She ends up in the holding area while her fate is decided. She sees someone and realizes its someone from one of the cars that hit her. Thanks to a meddling angel named George, a mix up occurs and Lisa ends up in the body of someone named Linda Brogan. The worst/best complication is Dan Brogan, a handsome doctor, who happe... morens to be Linda's husband and can't stand his wife for some reason.The premise of this book is unique. I loved it. I loved Lisa Jackson's character. She had an amazing sense of humor. Dan was also another great character. He had integrity and was gorgeous to boot! I loved how Lisa's family played pivotal parts in the progression of the story. There's also a sequel with Lisa's sister Sherry and Dan's brother Glenn, called "Barefoot". Michelle Holman did an amazing job with her debut book. I was hooked from page 1 and did not put it down until I had finished it!
review 2: Started this book 4pm yesterday and I could not put it down until I'd finished it at 1am this morning.Ms Holman is a Kiwi author and Bonkers is set on Auckland North Shore, not far from where I live, so it was fun to be able to visualise as events unfolded.I felt Lisa's frustration and just wanted to shake Dan to get him to understand. Although he was totally hot!Similar to Drop Dead Diva which has recently began on TV in New Zealand. I wonder if the tv series was based on this book? less
