review 1: This was such an emotional book for me to read. I spent a good part of this book in tears. But every last tear was so completely worth it. Michelle Lynn did such a phenomenal job with Trey and Kailey’s story. There was so much to this book and I am afraid my review is just not going to do it justice. It was by far my favorite book in the series and both Don’t Let Go and Let Me In were amazing in themselves. And who knew that I could end up thinking that Trey is my favorite guy?Trey likes women, well, he likes women as long as there is no need for a relationship or an attachment of any sort. But when he meets Kailey, all bets are off. Their connection seems immediate. But the more Trey falls for Kailey, the more she pushes him away. She only wanted the one night that Tr... moreey is so known for but there is something so undeniable between these two and Trey is not giving up that easily.Kailey just had my heart broken. Her sister and best friend is dying and Kailey is taking on so much for someone her age and it is just heartbreaking. I know it is so much more than I would have been able to handle at her age, but she is dealing with it all.It was just hard watching Kailey push away from Trey. But really, he is not known for relationships. She didn’t want anything more. But as it turns out Kailey has done something to Trey. He is determined to get the girl. He wants to be there for her when she goes through this difficult time in her own life. When these two are together, you just know. But the more Kailey pushes him to live his life and go on without her, the more he pushes back. And just when you know that this book is going down one path, it shifts and changes directions. This one is just not one I saw coming.Michelle Lynn’s writing style is addictive. She takes amazing characters and makes them family. She takes emotions and moves them to an entirely different level. The writing in this book is gripping, moving and unrelenting, but absolutely fabulous. Now before you think this is just one big emotionally broken book, I have to tell you, I spent quite a bit of time laughing too. So yes, it was emotional and I cried like a baby, but it was full of humor as well. This book just encompassed so much and I know that I cannot do it justice in a few paragraphs, so take my word when I say, you have to read this one. It is fabulous! This book can be read as a standalone, but this series is just too good to miss. Michelle Lynn does something amazing in her writing and it just pulls and twists and unrelenting you just don’t want to put the book down. And you are right, I didn’t put it down. It was emotional, humorous and full of angsty love. I adored this book so much and I can’t imagine giving it any less stars than five. It is AMAZING!*I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
review 2: 4.5If you're looking for a book that has a hot alpha male and is emotionally challenging, then this is one for you. Michelle Lynn weaved a heartbreaking story that had me reaching for something to mop myself up with quite a few times.LET ME LOVE is the story of Kailey and Trey, the drummer for the Invisibles. They were a somewhat unconventional couple, considering prior to his relationship with Kailey, Trey was known for not sleeping with the same girl twice. But the minute Trey noticed Kailey in the airport, he was bewitched by her. It was lovely to see him dedicate himself to Kailey the way he did. Her happiness and his ability to support her...not matter what, made me love him. Even when Kailey was doing her damnedest to push Trey away, he never let her go.Kailey was an incredibly strong woman, considering what she was facing. She tended to close herself off from other, worry about her immediate family, rather than allowing herself to lean on others. It took Trey and his friends to show Kailey that she needed the group to support her. And she truly did. If it weren't for all their help, giving her the opportunity to have a little time to herself, she would have crumbled. There is a very shocking twist towards the end of the story. Michelle Lynn gave us a storyline where we assumed there was going to be a certain ending, but she shocks readers with the twist. Prepare yourself.I seriously enjoy this series. Michelle Lynn creates characters that endear you very quickly and I always dread coming to the end of the book. If you haven't picked up one of the Invisible titles, grab one and prepare to fall in love. less
