review 1: I loved this book. The terms in it take a little bit to get used to. The people in this story live in a different world, where magical creatures, called crags, are common, but shunned. I loved the concept of the Pride Heart, being able to give magic to your pride. Emma, the main character in the book, searches for her sister Helena, who has disappeared. She meets a scruffy, magical talking cat named Jack who becomes her friend and devises a plan to find Helena. I really enjoyed this tale of adventure, danger, and magic.
review 2: A ROYAL book (Readers Of Young Adult Literature) that I reviewed. I will give this to the middle school library, it's a little too young for high schoolers. Magic, faeries, talking animals, etc., etc. Emma sets off to save her sis
... moreter who disappeared a year ago. Her family has done everything to try and find her, to no avail. Finally, they move to the edge of the magic forest and Emma meets Jack the cat who tells her he can help her find her sister. And the adventure begins. less

This was a very good book that was written in an interesting perspective.
