Joe DeMarco
review 1: This was the first book I've read in this series about Joe DeMarco, who works as the fixer for the Speaker of the House. When his cousin is killed, Joe is the executor for Him and Joe's life takes a turn when he finds himself being stalked by satellites and other types of tracking devices of the NSA and the Pentagon. It's a real thrill ride seeing who will get caught and who gets away with murder at the higher levels of government. Will certainly read other books in this series.
review 2: Lawson never disappoints. If you've lived in DC and Arlington it's a fun read to see a lot of familiar places. Also, Demarco has more to do in this one which I appreciated. I never rave about this series but it always entertains me, which when it comes down to it, is all I
... morereally want. I read Chabon's Yiddish Policeman's Union, there were some amazing turns of phrase and dazzling writing but eventually the writing (or over-writing) obscured the story and I lost interest. I have never quit on a Mike Lawson book. less

Likable characters and gripping plots make Lawson's DeMarco series a fun read...

More Milton's kind of book than mine, but I did enjoy the NSA intrigue.
