review 1: Questo romanzo è stato una vera chicca. Uno dei libri più inaspettatamente adorabili che io abbia letto negli ultimi tempi. I protagonisti da ammirare e del tutto credibili con tutti i loro pregi e difetti. Una storia semplice con un giusto miscuglio di ironia, dolcezza e anche un po' di amarezza, che ti strappa da una parte un sorrisetto e dall'altra un po' di sana commozione. Consigliatissimo se si cerca qualcosa di leggero ma non troppo e con assoluta assenza di volgarità. Peccato per la copertina che non sarebbe neanche tanto male se non fosse che i protagonisti sono l'esatto opposto di quei due: lei, Stevie, un'inglese biondina e paffuta, lui, Adam, uno scozzese rosso e imponente, un vero highlander!
review 2: Stevie and Adam have been bought together w... morehen their respective spouses have had an affair. Their plot is to act as a couple to incite jealousy so they both can go back to how their lives were. I liked this story very much, my only criticism is that it did waffle on a bit and then just ended abbruptly. I liked the writing style, although where the POV flipped so many times within the same chapters, I had to reread a page to work out whose internal dialogue it was. Stevie's son Danny was a cute character also, and I felt that his dialogue was appropriate for a four year old. (my biggest pet peeve is when you read a childs dialogue and the come across as a wisened old dear) Overall - I enjoyed it and will definitely read some more of Milly Johnson's books in the future. less
