review 1: As many of you know, I am a great hamster person - I really like hamsters (and they seem to like me as well - so it's all good!!!)This book came to me as a Christmas present from my daughter - it is a great present. Thank you very much. This diary was translated from the original hamster by Miriam Elia and Ezra Elia, a brother and sister team who at one time actually had a hamster named Edward. The book Forward was written by Dr. M. E. Rodentstein, Specialist in Hamster Linguistics and Philosophy, University of Mousachusetts, 2012.If that information doesn't tell you what a wonderful and intriguing book this is, I don't think you are a true hamster person. This was a great little book and hamster lovers everywhere should read it.
review 2: An absolute gem. Purcha
... moresed on impulse when shopping for a last minute birthday present for a friend. I read the whole thing while killing some time and went right back and bought another copy for myself. Now my go-to book to use a present, especially when trying to assess their sense of humour.Edward is a hamster after my own heart, unsatisfied with the shallow nature of his life who yearns for intellectual stimulation and exploration yet finds only apathy from those around him so turns to his private Diary for comfort. Over a succinct 83 pages Edward expresses his hopes, dreams, philosophies and insecurities while he searches for meaning and purpose within his cage. Also the pictures are pretty. less

Dark and humorous. Edward is one profound little hamster.

Edward is not just a hamster; he is a state of mind.

Cute, short, dark diary of a nihilist hamster.
