review 1: This is a very under-appreciated series, I think. Missouri has created a modern world full of all sorts of beasties and humans with psychic powers. Her originality comes in with the close family ties Fynn Adder stays connected to, past and present, and how each generation is effected by psychic powers and links to the fey world. He's a tough cop, recovering from alcohol addiction, trying to balance family time, time with his lover, Jack, and all the while trying to keep the city of Chicago safe from the supernatural baddies. Third in the Night Shift series, I highly recommend this and the other books, The Hanged Man's Ghost and The Night Shift to anyone looking for an entertaining read.Note to author: Please, more Michael! I love Michael!!

... moreusly hope there is more to this series, these books are crazy. I've seen a couple of comments that compared them to other popular paranormal series, I have to disagree. Other than the fact that these books are both of the paranormal genre the similarities are marginal at best and I think if you look for it you can find similarities between pretty well any books that you want too. Missouri Dalton's Night Wars Series is a rather interesting and entertaining view of the paranormal genre that introduces us to so many different and interesting characters. I for one plan to happily jump onto the Night Wars fan train and enjoy the ride, hopefully Fynn, Jack, Michael, Simon, Ian and Howl will be there just to mention a few. less
