review 1: I really enjoyed this book for the most part and would like to read the rest of the series. One thing that was very annoying was the typos and errors that reared their ugly heads in every single chapter. For instance, "he ran passed me" - that, or a similar statement using "passed" instead of "past" popped up at least half a dozen times. I know I'm not a writer, and I'm sure that you can probably pick out several things here in my little paragraph that I've done incorrectly, but I was astonished at how often errors like the above popped up in the book to annoy me.Some kindle books have a little blurb at the end, stating that they'll pay you for any errors that you find. Not so with this book. I checked out the ratings on Amazon and found that most of the lest than steller r... moreatings were given due to all the annoying errors. Too bad really.
review 2: This book desperately needs proof reading. The story is interesting, though it felt a bit heavy on the teen drama (not necessarily the most important thing, but as another reviewer said it does get repetitive). I'm about to try the second book but, honestly, if there are anywhere near the same number of grammatical errors I'm cutting my losses with the series. I just can't justify spending $5 on a book where the author didn't do their due diligence to make sure the thing is readable. Fingers crossed, because the story and particularly the world building showed promise. less

Definitely worry reading. A bit sappy at points, but an interesting plot and fascinating world.
