review 1: The Marriage Pact by MJ Pullen is the kind of novel that I like to dive into because I like characters with various complexities such as Marci is being portrayed – nothing boring here. When reading the story, Doug is not free to love, let’s put it this way, and Marci on the other hand, needs to sort out a few things. The pact is sort of “fantasy” any young woman would probably fall for, well at least at the time of the understanding. The challenge is there. Finally settling down with a cup of tea – I kept on reading and finding unique characters that made the story glue together in such a nice way. I truly enjoyed it. It is youthful. I has a class of its own. Give me more of this “quest for love” in every which way. I do recommend it.Adria... morena LG
review 2: I've got to say that when I started this, I did not like whan was happening with Marci and Doug. But the writing was good, so I continued reading. I loved the flashback chapters to when Marci was in college with Suzanne and Jake. It's always nice to have that insight, background knowledge. I really liked the premise of the story, as it's familiar to me having had one myself. I can truly say that I thought what both Doug and Jake did was very unfair and not at all right to Marci. I did enjoy the night in the rain and how that all turned out. But I think that should have happened sooner. All in all, a great book, easy to read, great characters (even if you want to punch some of them in the face). I really can't wait to read the next book to find out what happens next. I was surprised this was a debut novel, it's really good. 4 1/2 stars.I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review. less
