review 1: Well, I can see why Scaredy Squirrel wants to stay in his tree, even though I know some kids who like having ponies at their party. But they're kids, not squirrels, and ponies might step on squirrels, so I can see his point.Anyway it turns out he had a LOT of friends and he had a lot of fun after he fainted and so he's going to do it all over again NEXT year. And then maybe the ponies can come after all.I could not read all of this myself but it was still a good one. And there are other ones with him so maybe we can get those too!
review 2: I received a free copy of this book from the author in a Goodreads giveaway. I entered the contest because I have two nephews who enjoy reading all sorts of books and they're around the target age group for Scaredy Squirrel
... more. The book's illustrations are great. Good use of colors and there are a lot of things going on on each page. There seemed to be a lot of interesting things to keep kids interested on each page while you're reading out loud to them. The story was adorable - a squirrel who plans a birthday party just for himself, but ends up inviting one friend who brings a bunch of others with him. It was definitely a cute book and my nephew loved it! less

I just LOVE Scaredy Squirrel. I think I was a lot like him as a kid. Worry, worry, worry.

Scaredy Squirrel is a control freak. This book includes a lot of to-do lists.

Scaredy Squirrel's birthday is October 3! The part about the pony was cute.
