review 1: I didn't enjoy this book as much - granted, I'm not into zombies. I was worried about whether or not kids would be able to tell this was fantasy in the beginning, but it got more extreme as the book when on, so those fears were abated. I think this book will appeal to boys and reluctant readers. I also like that the main character's best friend is Indian with an Indian name and mentions some cultural elements like packing samosas for lunch. It wasn't my favorite, but it won't hurt my feelings to recommend to some kids.

Tom saves Frankie by zapping the fish with a battery, but th... moreere's something weird about Frankie. He turned into a Big Fat Zombie Goldfish, and has hypnotic powers. I believe My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish could have had more action, and a better vocabulary. less
