review 1: I have to say I did some embarrassing swooning and girlie screams while reading this book...... luckily it was the middle of the night so I don't think anyone heard me... But anyways this book was freaking amazing!!The characters are a fun jumble of snarky, mischievous fun.... of course I'm mostly talking about Gideon here. But the other brothers are just as amusing and you will start to juggle who you like the best. Now the main man, Octavian, well what a brooding and so fetching sweet little..... I look not gonna tell you that because i would hate spoil that surprise. It's a good one. He is so much the strong protector any girl would love to have yet the girl for him is stubborn and hard headed so all his macho-Ness is usually not welcomed.Riley 's a self-reliant girl wh... moreo has just been dealt a seriously crappy card in life and you would think meeting 4 hunks and getting to see them constantly would shine some kind of light into her existence. But they come with a whole box of crazy that doesn't seem to improve her circumstances much just make them that much more dire.That's about as much as I am gonna give away without revealing too much of this book. You have to read it yourself. So many unexpected events that I couldn't put it down because just when I thought their was a light at the end of the tunnel the switch flipped back off and it was all dark again but I loved it!!! This is not a predict everything that's coming type of book. It'll throw you through loops as you think you are figuring whats going to happen out!! DEFINATELY enjoyed the heck out of this book and anxiously waiting for more from this crazy family.
review 2: This is my first Airicka Phoenix book, and let me just complain that I should have started reading her works a long time ago!!! I loved Riley. She was sweet and strong. Not really a kickass kind of girl, but she had her own quiet strength, which came out in her determination and stubbornness and how she shouldered responsibility.I loved Octavian too. He was badass enough for the two of them, and yet he was tender and sweet.My favorite thing about this book was the big Addam's family kind of house! Meeting Octavian Maxwell and his family was loads of fun.I'm so looking forward to the next book. Gideon was one of my favorite's of the 4 brothers, and the next book is titled "Gideon's Promise." I'm hoping he gets matched up with Valkyerie. That would be the perfect poetic justice for him. less
