review 1: Zuri is trying to save her people. She has put them before everything she loves and holds dear. But a new love had fallen into her life. A love like nothing she has felt before. Trevin is the man of her dreams, but he is a land dweller and unable to follow her into the world that she had become responsible for. I loved this novel that I bought as a free nook book. It captured my attention and my heart from the beginning. I am excited to read the next novel in this series to find out the next step for a nation of Mermaids under attack
review 2: I have to admit, I was a bit apprehensive about reading it at first, for fear that it would be typical and predictable. Boy, was I in for a rude awakening! It's far from your usual cookie-cutter fantasy. The author create
... mores an intriguing ensemble of characters that sends you through a whirlwind of emotions. There are ironic twists and turns and the suspense keeps you on your toes. Zuri is beautiful, brilliant, and seductive without effort. Her sisters each have amazing and distinctive personalities. Viso is resourceful, alluring and kicks butt and asks questions later...if she deems necessary(wink). Trevain is a true gentleman who naturally exudes honor and nobility. Clearly I haven't summarized each of the key players but it's best to just see for yourself. I just finished this read last night and I can't wait to dive into the second book. A must-read...simply captivating! less
