review 1: I love the premise of this one but the execution did not work for me at all. I found myself completely unable to sink into the story and it took me a really long time to read this considering the length. I usually visualize as I read and I couldn't get a mental picture of this story which made it difficult to get through. I didn't like either of the characters and I thought too much time was spent talking without actually communicating. I needed a bit more action than just a few sex scenes. I'm not at all convinced that these characters are going to make a relationship work and I thought they were really bad for each other.
review 2: I really liked it. But I felt that Casey was to much of a victim in the relationship. I have a friend who is very similar and let... mores her partner walk all over her. She has an argument with him and tells him what she thinks, then the next morning apologises for speaking the truth. Frustrates the fuck out of me cause I would leave him in a NY Minute.Enough about real life - I think there was genuine affection between the two MCs but there was not enough healthy conversation for it to be a true relationship.Its well written and I cried for Casey which is a testament to the authors skills. I just wish Casey stood up for himself more. less
