review 1: I went back and forth between Thayer and Hildebrandt when it came to these fun beach reads. Overall I prefer Thayer's books and I found this one to be the one I enjoyed most (maybe because I read it relatively early on in the summer). I really liked the multi-generational voices of the lead characters in the story - Young adult, middle age adult, older adult. I think she did a good job presenting life views from these different perspectives and I found myself liking most of the main characters (minus the sister-in-law/daughter).
review 2: This one was a little harder to get into for me but, once I got a little ways in, I did not want to put it down ! A very good read ... Thirty-year-old Charlotte Wheelwright seems to have at last found her niche, running an o... morerganic gardening business on the island of Nantucket, thanks in large part to her spry grandmother Nona, who donated a portion of land on the family’s seaside compound to get Charlotte started. Though Charlotte’s skill with plants is bringing her success, cultivating something deeper with people—particularly her handsome neighbor Coop—might be more of a challenge. less
