review 1: Kun 10-vuotias tyttö siepataan ja vangitaan kellariin kahdeksaksi ja puoleksi vuodeksi, syntyy yrittämättäkin sensaationkäryinen tarina. Kirja kertoo sen siepatun tytön näkökulmasta. Kaikki on siis todellista, elämäkerrallista, tositapahtumia kertojan elämästä.
review 2: The type of book that shouldn't be really rated in stars. To be brave enough and so openly write down a story like this deserves 5 stars, I only gave it three stars because if somebody would ask me:
... moreHow is the book, I would say: It is good, you can read it. But honestly the same time I was glad when I was done with it. It is not an easy read. Especially towards the end, I was shocked how much abuse she had to take, it became really clear when she shared part of her diary and shared one of her weeks. Its a miracle that she could keep on going from a day to day basis until she was finally able to escape.I liked what she wrote about the stockholm syndrom. It made sense to me and really kept you thinking. But I also noticed how she kept defending herself and repeated the same thing several times. She is only generalizing the reactions of the society but I wondered what exactly happened? What happened when she was talking to her abusers friend? Who didn't like it? Just as one example, these were the things that kept me wondering....I also felt like the end was a little bit rushed, it would have been interesting to know a little bit more in details how she got adjusted back to a normal life. less

Being a true story, it is sort of shocking. But the editing is not wonderful, I must say.

Somewhat harrowing to read, but an interesting insight into what it was like for her.
