review 1: The plot of these final volumes was very good, although the ending was a little abrupt and confused me slightly.Overall this manga was enjoyable but not spectacular. The plot was weak in places, but interesting enough to be worth the time. The content was minor overall, although the occasional sequence (mostly relating to Husky and his cross-gender masquerade) dragged it down. A fun read, but not a favorite.
review 2: I was right in thinking that one volume was not enough to finish the story. I was glad to finally find out about Cooro's origins (really disturbing imagery though...), but the research part just fell flat to me. At least Nana and Husky made the choices I wanted them to in the end. I wish Cooro hadn't turned into such a passive character. He see
... moremed so bold and eager for life in all the other volumes. The fact that he regarded his promise to Fly as more important than his own happiness was just extremely sad. I liked Fly before this volume, but his manipulation of Cooro made him an awful person. Also, we kept seeing Blanca throughout the story, but she and the older researcher aren't explained nearly well enough for me. The author says there may be more to the stories that will be addressed in a later set of volumes, but that just isn't justification for rushing this story and leaving so much hanging. less
