review 1: I have picked up this book in the name of... remembering. I picked it to read the first page though the last, minus index pages and such.I picked uo this book and out it back down. Numerous times.I heard someone say once they treat their books like they'd treat their child. I admit, if the way I treated this book reflected my mothering skills I would really like to aplogize to my hypothetical kids for the of neglect. I picked this book up just to out ot back down.I read the same chapters, over and over! I just not that into it, I guess. So, I gave up on reading everything and just read about what I care about... Black Holes. And Antimatter. Oh, and some other things. This rating is based on what I read with one star subtracted because I am basing it on what I read... and r... moreead... and read
review 2: Death by Black Hole by Neil deGrasse Tyson is a great book for any person interested science. The book explains the universe and everything within it. I absolutely loved this book. For me it was like watching an marathon on the science channel. The book even touches on the religion versus science debate, which a very touchy subject. I recommend this book to young and old alike. Everyone should read at least one of Neil deGrass Tyson book at some point in their life. less
