review 1: A comprehensive but very readable book about the history of Central banking and the financial crisis of 2007. Very interesting insights into the mindset of the bankers and their failures and successes in dealing with the crisis, especially trying to turn theory into practise. Clearly lessons were learned from dealing with other financial crises, unfortunately there's bound to be another one in the future.....

Perhaps too much of the literature about the crisis has been mud-slinging on bankers and policymakers. But how a group of people worked overtime trying to ensure that the world does not fall into economic abyss
