review 1: It was entertainin; an easy read from three women's points of view that could either appeal to you or not. If you're the type of woman that has pms then read this, you will love it and it's witty humour from the author; if not then read another one of her books, because I'm sure she'll apply her wit and light hearted fun in others of her collection. I read this on holiday about 2 years ago if not more, it was entertaining and kept me busy for a few days. It's short so won't be a commitment read, it will however amuse the women that have experienced the male 'love rat' which if so will probably be successful in a short entertainment piece! The reason for the low rating is because of the simple, not gripping qualities the book has. It is a light read and I wouldn't say I coul... moredn't put it down.. it was hard work at certain points in the book to read, but I finished it and enjoyed it - more than likely because of the writers techniques within the book to provide relatable humour, and I repeat 'wit'.
review 2: I found this book to be so much of a struggle that I couldn't even finish it. I felt empathy with Molly's character after being dumped by her husband Charlie although it seems she was still hung up on her ex David & wasn't as into Charlie as she seemed so why did she marry him? I felt annoyance at Eve's character - it's been 2yrs since Charlie not only cheated on you but then left you, move on already! He's clearly not worth it! Julie's character wasn't that likeable & the fact that she's having an afffair with a soon to be married man wouldn't make her a sympathetic character anyway. Charlie is just a pig but is allowed to continue his behaviour as no-one has ever stood up to him. The book was billed as hilarious but clearly that was just to lure people in for what could have been an entertaining read but was executed so badly. less

A light, chick lit novel - easy to dip into and an easy read but no real depth or variety
