review 1: I can see by other reviews that people either love or dislike this book. I am in the middle of the road, the concept is intriguing and the characters are interesting but I found myself skipping ahead to see how the story was progressing. I hope that book two continues and develops a little more. As this book ends things appear bleak but there is that beacon of hope. Science fiction and fantasy fans will enjoy and look for book two.
review 2: Orbs is a fast-paced thrill ride, following Dr. Sophie Winston as she struggles to lead her team in a desperate race for survival. Overall, the book felt like a quick read. It was easy to be gripped by the action and suspense as you keep wondering what the heck the aliens are up to. While this first installment leaves you... more with a satisfying ending, there are a few major questions that will leave you thirsting for the next books in the series. less
