review 1: Finding myself a little chagrined at not knowing what ObamaCare is all about (and me starting nursing school in a week for chrissakes!), I picked this up to get myself abreast. Meh. Didn't realize it would be so anti- but always nice hearing the arguments against. Helps one bolster one's own positions. The author repeats himself a lot but it helped nail down the key points. Don't buy it. Do what another reviewer did and read it in the cafe at Barnes & Noble.

Almost 40% of the higher health care costs will come from cuts to Medicare, so the older generation will be severely penalized. Death panels are a potential reality. Perhaps the most damaging result from Obamacare will be the federal government's increased role in the regulation of health care. Government's handling of any program is extremely inefficient and expensive. Witness social security, medicare and medicaid. This legislation has moved this country several steps closer to a socialized, government controlled economy. That will eventually result in a financial meltdown and chaos. less
