Leopold Blake Thriller
review 1: This is a mostly fast moving book which is short enough to enjoy in a couple of sessions. Leonard Blake is just about fearless, as is the team of people with him in Paris. Ostensibly, he is checking on security at the Louvre, but things escalate from there, when he discovers a fake masterpiece, which is later located at the plush apartment of the man who stole it. THere is collateral damage to his team. I am rather sure that I wouldn't want to be participating in the adventures they do.
review 2: Leopold Blake inherited a huge inheritance due to the suspicious death of his parents. He believed his mother did not commit suicide and that his father went in to hiding. Hence his interest in investigations. His friend, a female NYPD detective, have been match
... moreed up in previous investigations. However, this time was supposed to be a rendezvous of the two in Paris. Leopold took a job to check the security of the Louvre and finds a master piece has been switched with a fake. He ends up getting framed for a murder and the action begins. Some twists and turns leads you to a motive but I won't spoil the fun. A light reading most will enjoy. I saw a few errors but not enough to distract. I get tired of seeing unnecessary swearing especially when using God's name, enough already. less
