review 1: Part 2 of The Fetish Box picks up right in the middle of the first sexual encounter between Mary and John. While they are together intruders attack Max and a female employee at the store, the Fetish Box. The store is trashed and a mystery begins as the books characters try to recover and discover who would be so angry that they would attack them.There are various interactions between characters and brief sexual interludes, then Mary barely escapes when the same intruders break into her home. The book ends while she is waiting for the police to arrive.My main complaints with this part of the story are the lack of flow between scenes and the extremely flat sex scenes. The basic mechanics are there, but there are no embellishments. And any woman will tell you that it is ... morethe embellishments that make the sex interesting.This could be a good book with thorough editing and rewriting. Rather than three novellas this series would read better as one complete book.ARC provided by Netgalley.
review 2: What I've discovered in reading the first then the second book is that this is truly ONE book. The story is ok in book two and you can see how the characters are feeling about each other. I am so intrigued with Max and John that I want more but this breaking the book apart in to three or more smaller books leaves me asking the question...why would you do that?
