review 2: It is not primarily about slow sex. It's not about positions, sex toys or some spiritual woo-woo either. It's about a hea... morelthy, down to earth, sensation-based approach to sex that our culture is seriously lacking. No recipes here, only a simple practice with few guidelines that will hopefully let the reader discover and free his or her own desire that will form his or her own unique approach to sensuality and intimacy. Personally, I have found that the few guidelines for the practice described in the book are applicable to life in general, in the great spirit of Western spirituality focused on the individual (Arthurian legends, Joseph Campbell etc.) A breath of fresh air in our shame, guilt, false bravado and expectation-ridden way of dealing with sexuality.For my standards, the book could have been more concise, but I think the author does a great job not to repulse anyone from the ideas she is presenting. Recommended for both men and women of any sexual orientation or personality type, single or not.I listened to the unabridged audiobook read by the author -- it's all good. less
