review 1: I initially checked this book out of the library because I mistakenly thought it was a memoir. I have a thing for reading celebrity, even reality star memoirs. But when I brought the book home, I realized my mistake. I was going to take it back but then I read the acknowledgements for fun and saw that it was written by a ghostwriter, Valerie Frankel. I ended up reading it and just finished. I'm giving 3 stars - liked it. It has a good plot and everything gets resolved in the end. It's clear that "Gia" the main character is Snooki and "Bella" is maybe a hash-up of Jenni plus Sammi or something like that. I like the side stories and there's quite a bit of humor in the story. It's a good lazy Sunday beach read if you enjoyed "Jersey Shore" - which I did as a guilty p... moreleasure. My only issue is with the use of "Honestly?" so much - I know that's how the character talks but still. It was a lot! And with the ending. It ended on a good note but it did seem that the book wrapped up too quick. I was left wanting more resolution. But overall, I surprised myself and enjoyed reading this book. Like I said, good beach or vacation read.
review 2: Loved, loved, loved it! I love Snooki on Jersey Shore and I adored her on Snooki and Jwoww on mTV and since I'm between seasons this was the perfect book to keep me tided over! The book is just like what happens on the show if there were no guys in the Jersey Shore house with a little extra drama. I read the entire book in a day it was soooo cute. The only way you wouldn't like it is if you didn't like the Jersey Shore or had never learned the lingo then you might not like the book too much! Other than that it's a really cute little book with lots of twists and turns! less
