review 1: There are times when I read a book and I can tell the author knows inside and out the world she's created in her head, but that world never fully makes it onto the page. This is one of those times. It felt like a first draft that needed more character development, a slower pace, and the guidance of a good editor. For me, there were a couple of strong moments (including the eventual love interest--a great little twist), but overall this really missed the mark for me.
review 2: I was lucky enough to happen into this story as part of the "Oceans Deep" collection. The story begins with a chance encounter between a guy and a gal. Said gal wants to find the guy after spending a lovely evening together. Thus, begins her adventure. She travels all the way from the east... more coast to the west coast in search of this guy who inspired her to chase "forever" down, but what she finds is not what she expected and so much more. This was a really fun story with great characters. I am looking forward to reading the next installment and catching up with Haley, Vin, AJ, Topher and everybody else. less
