review 1: The Pact of the Wolves by Nina Blazon but translated by Sue Innes is gripping tale about sorcery and secret society called The Wolves.Can Bianca trust anyone and what is the secret society really after? I love how this murder mystery has a gothic twist with sorcery,torture and a secret society thrown in. This book will haunt you till you finish because it`s so good that you won`t want to put it down. I reccomend this to people who enjoy reading gothic sort of novels or murder mysteries.
review 2: I'm not really sure how to categorize this one, genre wise. There are paranormal and mystery/thriller elements, there is witchcraft and secret societies and a boarding school. But it's not a paranormal romance, so don't expect any sexy teen girl/wolf makeout scenes. I ... morereally didn't know what was going on until the end, and I won't give it away if this intrigues anyone. The language is somewhat stilted, which may be an effect of translation from the German, but a compelling and original story none the less. less
