review 1: Blade aka Donavan story. I really liked this one. I like that we got a peek into blade. Layla owns a bad that naked has been coming to for a year. When some customers are giving her a hard time blade comes to her rescue. The heat between them is steamy. I like that blade has a soft side with Madison, his mom, even Sharon, Madisons mom. We get a better look into the craziness of Marcus and the horrible life he was making. For everyone. Blade gets latke to hire Sharon. Sharon shoots Marcus and blade ends Stabbing him to death. We get a little more insight into blades finance ashley. Scott is not the president amd storm is a mess
review 2: Just let me start this review by saying Blade is one hot hunk of a man and I want him..This book is about Blade and h... moreis woman Layla. When two strong personalities collide, sparks are bound to follow and sistas these two had sparks that would burn the pages up or melt ya bloomers, however you want to look at it.Blade is a total alpha male and for over a year has frequented a bar, sat in the same place, drank the same Scotch and never once paid attention to what was happening around him. He wasn't really living life since the tragedy he suffered years ago, so to notice more than the menial things, just wasn't important to him. Then suddenly a situation comes into his bar and he realizes maybe he needs to get his head out of his bootie and start to get to know the sexy bar keep. Layla has had her eye on the hottie in the corner for over a year and she looks forward to his visits, but he doesn't seem to want more than his scotch and with all the drama she has going on, she really doesn't need to add him to the equation. Then suddenly things happen and she sees the incredible opportunity to get what she has been wanting for so long.When these two characters come together, the tender moments are few but they are there, when Blade needs the strength Layla offers to him, he can't refuse it no matter how hard he wants to. The sex between them was OTP hot but not so detailed that I found myself going ugh not another sex scene. Instead I cheering for Layla to grab that stud show him what it was all about.The story was excellently written and total engrossing and had plenty of MC type action. I was so glad Blade did what he did. I breathed a sigh of relief when it happened and cheered for Sharon.I think this is the best book of the series yet, and am anxiously awaiting more from the next. Some things are still up in air at the end of book. No ladies, not a cliffy, just some other things that were brought to light in this book.Solid 5 stars to MS. NINA LEVINE and my whole hearted appreciation to be allowed this book for review. less
