review 1: I didn't love this book, it didn't really strike a chord with me. I enjoy the premise of it - but really, who has the time to go and look for a fear to conquer every single day. It seemed a little bit self-indulgent to me, although I didn't dislike Noelle or her story. I just don't identify with her struggle, it didn't feel real or genuine to me. But it was a quick read, definitely something to think about and it makes me want to climb Kilimanjaro someday.
review 2: I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I had recently found myself in a similar station of life (not unemployed, but trying to start down a new carer path). This book and Noelle were totally relatable for me, and she inspired me daily to step outside of my comfort zone to help calm my anxieties. ... more I have become a severe introvert in the past few years, and in the short time it has taken me to read this book, I have already found myself feeling more comfortable and less fearful of social situations. I could not have found this book at a more perfect time in my life. As for the actual quality, you could tell it was written by a blogger, but that didn't bother me. It also was a little absurd how much money she spent on her journey, but that was her prerogative and I'm not willing to judge her for that. It's definitely not a book for everyone, but for someone who can relate to Noelle, it's a must read. less
