review 1: Great reader on the audiobook, you'd think it was Nora herself rhapsodizing about very nice lunches that feature "rice pudding with a lot of raisins." I kinda wish Scribble Scribble and Crazy Salad were separate, because while I often wanted to cry with joy at the brilliance of CS, SS is more niche interest, and not as interesting to me. Still, Crazy Salad is prescient and amazing and a perfect example of why Ephron was the cat's pajamas, and always will be.
review 2: This collection of essays worked better, I’m sure, for what it was originally intended – as individual articles. Ephron wrote about current events, and 30 or more years later, some do seem dated. And perhaps it would be better in print rather than audio – it would be easier to skip past su
... morebjects that you didn’t care for. That being said, Ephron can be funny and insightful, but this collection is not her best work. Personally, I have better ways to spend my time than hearing about deodorant sprays or crooked politicians. less

Great writer, but dated topics. Would have enjoyed greatest hits version rather than re-release.
