review 1: I normally don't read Nora Roberts romance novels, its not my thing but since this series was avaiable as audio for free through the library I decided to give it a shot. I was plesantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it and how much it has stayed with me since I have finished it. Some areas of the story were 100% predictiable, some areas were 'talked' about just too much. However I liked how it ended.
review 2: Overall, I enjoyed the trilogy. Very easy to follow, easy to understand, and each novel was a quick read. The writing style was very typical of the Nora Roberts books I read years ago. The subject matter, however, seems to be new. I liked all of the characters, especially the mothers. I wish they would have had bigger roles. I thought the pairing o... moref the couples was too obvious, but it is a Roberts book. I was glad each couple had their gifts and that discovering how to use them kept the plot moving forward. I was actually a little disppointed with the simplicity of the ending. Perhaps the bigger theme of good winning out over evil being a basically simple concept was the real point of the ending. less
