Review:
From the first book, I wanted to know how Julian had ended up with Luke. What had he done that he kept punishing himself for? If I had to give him a title, it would be “The Afflicted Hero”. I sympathized a lot with him because I understood the reasons for his actions.
I have to say, I didn’t like Rose at first. She was in super denial about everything. The truth about Julian. Her change. Her feelings for him. I wanted to shake her and tell to deal already. But when she finally accepts what she has now become and how she feels about Julian, she grows on me.
I loved the glimpses of Luke and Leo throughout the story. And man, was Leo having a bad time through it all. Lmao! I laughed so hard at his “incidents” haha. He totally deserved it for being such a jerk.
Another terrific story to the series. Highly recommended.
