review 1: In erotic romances, some plots are dumb. Tick markAnd sometimes they even get worse and worse til the end of the book. Tick markThe characters change from one day to the next. Tick markThey do not have any kind of depth, as the only thing they can think of from the beginning of the book onwards is sex. Tick markAt least in this case, we were spared the usual obnoxious former husband or boy-friend in quest of revenge...A boatload of sex scenes not that hot, unrealistic for a large part.
review 2: Maybe it was me. Maybe it was my mood. Maybe I was thinking of another book while reading this one. Whatever it was, this just didn't do it for me. When I read erotica, I want to be caught up in the moment thinking, 'Holy shit that's hot!' I don't want to be thinki
... moreng, 'What an idiot.' or 'what about (fill in the blank)' or even, 'I don't think that is physically possible.' Unfortunately in this offering from Opal Carew there were very few 'that's hot' moments and far too many of the last three thoughts.Devlin loves Aimee. He has for a while. Aimee has been on a sexual hiatus following her divorce. When she announces that she's ready to go back on the market, Devlin's first thought is, 'I think the best way to get her ready for a real relationship with me is to have her screw a bunch of other guys.' I really think the guy needs to have his logic looked at.Unfortunately the rest of the book follows this logic.A light fun read, but there really is never any connection to be found. less

Not one of my favorite authors, but I took a chance based on the blurb. I just didn't care for it.

Three, three and a half stars if read as pure smut...
