review 1: I have been a fan of Pamela Ann's books since I read my first book - Scornfully Yours - and this book is no different. I love Isobel and Hugo their intensity, sexual tension and tenderness displayed all the while she maintains her love for boyfriend back in Greece. Isobel in thrust into her current situation in order to pay off her father's debt owed to Hugo. This story introduced some new individuals we will see in future books but brought back some favorites - Dimitris, Callum and Stella! In this story Hugo is a man who know what he wants and he goes after it!!! Choices and decisions have to be made and I can not wait for the next book to see what happens next! This book has a twist to it I did not expect which makes me want the next book even more! Thank you once ... moreagain Pamela Ann for an amazing story. I look forward to reading the next book...well any book you write for that matter!
review 2: Pamela specializes in the emotion of being torn in love, having feelings for more than one person at a time. She loves old books like Pride and Prejudice and Anna Karenina so she tends to write modern versions of these up and down, back and forth romances with usually a hefty dose of sex added. In this book, there isn't as much angst as is present with most of Pamela's other books. Although erotic in nature it is not full of sex. It's more about the desire, the chase, the wanting. Also Bartered i less
