review 1: I wanted to hug the authors of this book! It combines two of my favorite things: Austen and cats! Seemingly, the much loved Pride & Prejudice characters are all cats who behave as regency humans. They enjoy balls, having a "Fancy feast," and activity seek a mate with good papers and comfortable satin pillows. Mr. Darcy is a fancy breed with 10,000 mice a year, while Lizzy is a country cat.The book follows the spirit of P & P well, and also includes the original text. LOLcat-esque cat photos are also included in the chapters. Some are cute, some look strangely photoshopped.But odd photos aside, it's a very cute book to add to your Austen collection.
review 2: Exactly what it sounds like. Partial text of P&P edited with all the main characters now being cats. Nov... moreel idea for the first third, but then not so much. Mr. Darcy has ten thousand mice a year, plus an extra three lives. When they all get excited about a ball, it is because it has a bell inside it. There is brief mention of whether or not Anne deBourgh, sickly creature, should have been put down. Clever, but maybe better if shorter. less
