review 1: I received this book as a courtesy from netgalley.com; however, my review is unbiased and based upon my true feelings about the book."Fang Me" is another exceptional read in the Demon Underground series. In this installment Val is now under contract to work for Alejandro, vampire and leader of the New Blood movement. In addition, she is struggling with her succubus side, Lola. She has discovered that if she loses her virginity, she will also lose her strength, speed and other slayer abilities. This truly is complicated by her ever increasing lust for her boyfriend, Shade.Val also discovers that Shade has secrets of his own. When he heals others there is a grave price to pay that just might allow evil demons to enter our world and create havoc. Not to mention that Val must ... morelocate the magick encyclopedia so she can be released from her contract with Alejandro and before other interested parties get their hands on it. This situation is further complicated when a charismatic demon, Trevor comes to town claiming to be the Keeper of the book. Val does not trust him and he charms her friends into believing she is just jealous. Is he what he seems or is evil afoot?This series just keeps getting better and better. I truly despised Trevor and wanted to take him down. However, I was happy to see Val handle him with her own brand of justice. It was also nice to see a cameo appearance from Officer Dan. It seems both he and Val have moved on to other relationships but I onder what the future has in store for them. I find myself once again eager to see what will happen next especially with the news at the ending of this book. I will not reveal what that was. Let me just say that if you are truly interested in a unique series that will keep you on the edge of your seat, this is the one for you!
review 2: Once again we meet up with Val Shapiro, Succubus, Vampire Slayer, and now Magick Book Hunter. As always she has her trusty side kick and snarky part Hellhound Fang by her side, and things are going great with Shade.But can Val resist the temptation to have sex with Shade, thereby losing her super strength and healing abilities forever? What exactly will working for Alejandro entail and can he really be trusted? And who exactly is this new guy Trevor and what are his real motives. Another fast, action packed read with loveable characters. Urban Fantasy lovers, you will love this book. less
