review 1: This is truly a wonderful story that most of us, as gay men, hope for. Kurt and Alex are childhood best friends that have to go their separate ways for college. They have made plans to stay in touch and for a period of time that works. With the hectic study schedule, plans change and they end up losing contact. Years pass by and they run across each other again. Read the story to see where life leads them..... A Great Read!
review 2: I did fall in love with these guys the first time around and it is no different the second. The way Parker Williams handles these guys is so gently raw, beautiful on a basic level that most of us realise that we would give our souls to get what these two have. I know that sounds poetically overdone but Alex and Kurt are handled so
... moreftly, their story is not angst filled, just mixed up a little, so their relationship, a lifetime in the making, culminates here in front of us, unfolding sweetly. So you know this is a rewrite of the short from a year ago but with about 2000 extra words including a rewrite of the ending. Now in no way is the ending changed just... given the grand romance treatment. I heard someone say that it was too Harlequin for their liking but I say that there is a reason that Harlequin is as big and as long lived as it is, people want to believe that maybe someday they can have the Grand Romance too. I love a good broken or flawed MC as much as the next person but I also love the ones that affirm to us that we can all have the chance at their own love story of the century.I loved that this story was a quietly smooth flowing and sweet read, that I could enjoy on a quiet Sunday afternoon, whilst the kids race and kill Mario and Princess Peach. Alex and Kurt will wrap you up and leave you feeling good. If thats what you are looking for then you cannot go wrong. less
