review 1: A sweet little book of poetry on love, written from the perspective of a young adult (although the author/poet is NOT a young adult); I liked the latina angle as well.But what was interesting and gave me more respect for the lesser-known poets, is how much genius it takes to write a poem in the many forms of poetry that exist--I appreciated the eye-opening experience it was and thank the author for introducing me to them.
review 2: I have mixed feelings about poetry books, (Not books written in poetry) because you can love one poem, and hate the next, which I found to often happen in this book. However, I did love the demonstration and explantion about all the different forms of poetry used; I've been reading poetry for years, and even found a new format.
