Cleaner
review 1: not as good as The Cleaner, but still a great story with all Paul Cleave's usual gory bits. joe goes from being "slow" in the cleaner to "victim" in this one. I love how he's even convinced himself of his innocence. Yes sure Joe killed all those people, but as he keeps telling people he can't remember the actual dees so therefore it can't possibly be his fault. Of course he quietly admits to himself only that he can actually recall with relish every single one of them. I also loved the return of the evil Melissa. The references to all the previous books are fun too.
review 2: This is my twenty third book that I have received and read from Goodreads. It is the first book that I have read by Paul Cleave. The story is a sequel from the first book he wrote. It t
... moreakes place in Christchurch, New Zealand, which by the way happens to be the authors home town. As you know from the first book, Joe is a slow witted janitor at the police station, who really is a serial killer, who has been cought and is waiting in jail for his trial to start. It is a year later and Joe's trial is coming up. Joe is not doing so good in jail. The author does a really good job making you visualize the disturbing scenes in the story. Some of the scenes are really hard to take and quite disturbing. This is a unique midder mystery. The ending of the story leaves you hanging. I will be watching for Mr. Cleaves books to come out. less
