review 1: The book was written like a friend talking to another friend; at least that is how it felt to me. I usually don't like self-help books because they tend to comes off as overly enthusiastic and annoying. A lot of them seem to be written by people who haven't even experienced what they are writing about but try to convince you they know how you feel. This book felt more like a friend who has gone through what you are going through, knows how you are and is trying to help you see past what is stopping you from your own potential. The book focuses on what you are doing that is stopping you from moving forward, instead of a list of things you should do to find creativity, be creative and successful.
review 2: This book was a series of rambling essays on different t
... moreopics. Some of them were interesting and informative, but at other times, the author comes off as too opinionated. His personal anecdotes were interesting but didn't develop much depth. Overall, the book was short and didn't really satisfy. I think it would be better if he had picked one or two topics and delved into them in more detail instead of trying to put a bit of everything in at once. They may work as blog posts or newsletter essays, but it's not really enough for a book. less
